JAKARTA: PT Aneka Tambang posted IDR1.07 trillion net profit in 2012, slumped 44.21% from IDR1.92 trillion a year earlier. The decline in profit was driven by the increasing cost of goods sold by 14.85% to IDR8.4 trillion and operating expenses by 7% to IDR1.08 trillion. Accordingly, Antam operating income slumped 54.14% from IDR2.01 trillion to IDR922.934 billion. In the meantime, related to the rights issue plan, Antam President Director Alwinsyah Lubis said the company is still reviewing the corporate action agenda, particularly after seeing the undervalued stock price. "We will not conduct the plan in the near future despite having given an approval by the government. We will review the stock price trend first. After increased and stable, then we will propose the rights issue plan," he said. (msw)
